For over 40 years, Rise Up Athletics (formerly Kidnastics) has proudly served the Los Alamitos community with quality gymnastics, cheerleading, and athletic programs in a fun, safe, and family-centered environment. What started in 1977 as a small gymnastics program has grown into a vibrant 23,000 sq. ft. facility where children build strength, confidence, and lifelong memories.
A Legacy of Family
Founded by Dale and Sharon Williamson and later carried on by long-time manager Cheryl Quinn, our gym has always felt more like a second home. Many of our original athletes now bring their own children—and even grandchildren—through our doors. With the support of their family, including beloved grandparents "Tutu" and "Papa," Cheryl expanded the gym's offerings to include Recreational Cheer program, Flyers, Seasonal Camps, and more.
In 2019, we rebranded from Kidnastics to Rise Up Athletics to reflect both our growth and our commitment to helping every athlete rise—in skill, in confidence, and in life.
